Scholarships
The opportunity to study dance should be open to children throughout Pensacola and the surrounding communities. Ballet Pensacola provides approximately $15,000 in scholarships and financial assistance each year to help families access Academy training.
Ballet Pensacola has developed scholarship opportunities that reflect the varied needs of the students we serve. These awards help more young people experience the discipline of dance, the confidence that comes with progress, and the sense of belonging found in a shared artistic pursuit.
We welcome students of all backgrounds. A family’s financial circumstances, race, ethnicity, or orientation should not determine whether a child has the chance to discover what dance can bring to their life.
Dance Chance Scholarship (up to 3 Awarded Annually.)
Created to offer access to dance training for students who demonstrate financial need, these scholarships provide 50 percent tuition assistance for students enrolled in the Ballet Pensacola Training Division. Financial need is assessed using family financial status, tax returns, and household income. Dance Chance assistance is provided for one year, and students must reapply each year.
Ballet Pensacola RDA|SE Scholarship
Each season, select Student Company dancers will receive a scholarship to cover festival tuition fees, and uniforms, for the annual Regional Dance America Southeast Festival. Awarded in recognition of dedication, artistry, and promise, this opportunity supports a student's continued growth and participation in one of the region's premier pre-professional dance experiences.
Summer Intensive Scholarship
The Summer Intensive Scholarship supports continued training throughout the summer months. This opportunity recognizes students who have demonstrated dedication, growth, and strong potential, while encouraging continued artistic and technical development beyond the regular season.
Pointe Shoe Scholarship
Awarded annually to a deserving student, the Pointe Shoe Scholarship is designed to provide a student 4 pair of pointe shoes through out the next academic year. It is awarded to a student in the training division who has shown significant improvement and work ethic in pointe classes.

The Ballet Pensacola Annual Merit Award
The Ballet Pensacola Merit Award was originally created to honor formative members of the organization. Continuing in this tradition, the Ballet Pensacola artistic staff awards one student each year who demonstrates exemplary dedication, behavior, talent, potential, and overall attitude throughout their daily classes and performances.
The Ballet Pensacola Founders Award
Created in honor of Patsy Hill, the Founders Award celebrates the visionaries who helped shape the arts in Pensacola. This award recognizes their lasting impact on the community and continues their legacy by recognizing students who carry forward the spirit of creativity, dedication, and artistic excellence.
The Ballet Pensacola Transcendence Award
Established in honor of Hilda Jones, the Transcendence Award recognizes her unwavering dedication and generosity to Ballet Pensacola. This award is given to a student who, like Hilda, consistently goes above and beyond demonstrating exceptional commitment, effort, and passion beyond their regular classwork.
