Pre-Primary Division
The Ballet Pensacola Pre-Primary Division is designed to give the youngest of dancers an introduction to the ballet world that inspires their creativity and love of dance while also giving them a solid basis of the ballet skillset. Students at these levels are initially placed based on age, however age is not a restriction for advancement if necessary. The program is designed to progress students through the Pre-Primary division and then graduate seamlessly into the Training Division. All Pre-Primary classes are developed and maintained by Pre-Primary Division manager, Hannah Holtsclaw Breen.

Training Division
The Ballet Pensacola Training Division is designed to develop young dancers throughout their most crucial years to be disciplined, creative, and technical dancers. The academy’s curriculum, designed by Academy Director Debi Janea, is a development of multiple historic ballet syllabi and styles. Valuable teachings such as theory, steps, terminology, and combinations are taken from methods such as Cecchetti, Vaganova, Bournonville, Balanchine, and others. These lessons are placed into a student’s training at the appropriate time of their growth as young dancers and are designed to progress students forward at a quality level of skill and technique. New students must audition for correct placement into all training division classes.

Pre- Professional Division
Ballet Pensacola’s Pre-Professional Program is designed for dancers who have completed their traditional, academic dance program and are ready to push their technique and artistry to the next level. This program includes advanced dance instruction, supplemental mentoring, and is designed to develop each dancer seamlessly from student life into a professional ballet setting. This prepares dancers to take on additional hours/training as they develop more into their artistry and skills suited for professional ballet company life. Students in the pre-professional program work closely with the Ballet Pensacola company. Auditions are held annually in January.

Extra-Curricular Classes
Ballet Pensacola offers additional training in Tap, Jazz, and Musical Theatre! Extra-Curricular classes offer students an outlet for fun, movement, expression, and additional skills outside of traditional ballet class. Students do not need to be enrolled in ballet to be enrolled in specialty classes. Ages ranges for specialty classes are only guidelines; students are placed and advanced based on skill at the discretion of the instructor.
